Band of Thebes asked 56 authors to choose the "Best LGBT book of 2009" -- I chose Douglas Martin's Once You Go Back...

And Gary Indiana chose So Many Ways to Sleep Badly!!!

Have you ever read any of Jim Grimsley's books? He only writes about faggot desires, but does so in a way that forces you to see his southern roots and its really comforting. For me, at least.

I have never read Jim Grimsley's books -- what's your favorite?

And actually, you know, Once You Go Back is also about the South, in a certain way...

I have never read Once you go back, I will have to pick it up sometime.

I really enjoyed "Dream Boy", which I hate telling people because I really hate that title, but it isn't anything like what you would imagine a book to be that had that title. Or maybe it is and it only feels different because I can actually relate to it.... Hm.

I also really enjoyed "Boulevard", but really, I love everything I have read from him.
