So wired and tired that I can hardly think although I guess this is better than the regular exhaustion, and…

Tomorrow more than 100 cities will be organizing celebrations to mark the end of "don't ask, don't tell" – openly gay soldiers will now be able to serve in unjust wars all over the world!!! How many cities will be organizing antiwar protests?

I agree. I'm on my way to old (58) and cut my teeth in the anti nuclear movement in my early twenties once I was conscious enough to get informed. The older I get the more I am disheartened by our governments behavior around the world. How do you balance your love for the goods things about the usa with your own disgust about it? It a hard one for me. Thank you for your comments, it's comforting to know there are others out there.jane

It was great seeing you quoted on democracy now! again the other day (in the midst of a terrible interview), but the repeal of DADT is BS. I want a repeal of militarism, a repeal of violent, hierarchical institutions that are destroying our world.

Vale, thank you so much – I'm so glad they played that clip – and yes, in the midst of all that promilitary hypocrisy on the part of Aaron Belkin, and others, indeed…

And:

"I want a repeal of militarism, a repeal of violent, hierarchical institutions that are destroying our world."

Yes yes yes yes YES!!!!!
